Montana Edgers:
Montana Edgers were developed to be used on thin
leather. They have very narrow toes to allow edging
without bumping the toes into the work surface. They
come in 5 sizes:
|
 |
Round
Edge Edgers:
Round
Edge Edgers give a clean cut without leaving edger
tracts. Every tool has a sharpening rod of the
appropriate size to aid in maintaining the shape and
size of the cutting edge. They come in 8
sizes: |
 |
Straight French Edgers: Straight
French Edgers are used for french edging and
skiving. They come in 12 sizes: |
 |
Cantle Binding Trimmers:
We have taken
our Straight French Edgers and made a longer shank
that allows you to reach under the cantle to trim
off the excess binding. They come in 3 sizes: |
 |
Plier Bleeders: A
one step tool for tying bleed knots. It cuts both
the slot and pulls the mating string back. |
 |
Verlane's Stitch Ripper:
Tired
of gouging the leather as you try to rip out the
stitches? Our ripper cuts the stitches not the
leather!
|
 |
Horn Trimmers:
In one
"easy to use" pass they will give you a smooth
finished edge. A sharpening rod is provided. |
 |
Groover:
Our
groover lets you make a small freehand grove for
stitching. |
 |
Drawdown Horse:
The
pads on the top are made to imitate a horse's back
so the saddle tree sets firmly in place. The saddle
tree sets on the stand in the same position that it
would be on a horse, making it easier to visualize
your skirt and rigging line.
The drawdown ratchet can be worked from the front or
back. Also, there is no bar to hit your shins. The
spring helps maintain tension on your seat strap as
you work the seat into place.
The stand features a hydraulic mechanism in the base
that allows you to change the height of your work.
It has an 7" adjustment from 37" to 44" which saves
your back. It also turns, therefore you no longer
need to walk around your work. |
 |
Cantle Binding Sewing Attachment:
The attachment will tilt the saddle tree up
giving you better visibility while sewing
the cantle. Also works well to aid in
stamping the cantle and swell cover. |
 |
Stirrup Stretcher:
Our stirrup stretchers come in two sizes:
32" or 36" tall. We use a hardened acme
threaded rod to stretch the stirrups. As
they stretch they are also twisted at
30-degrees past 90 degrees. The pegs at the
bottom that the stirrup goes around have
been tilted forward 15 degrees thereby
stretching the front edge of the stirrup
leather longer than the back edge causing
the tread of the stirrup to hang parallel to
the bottom of your foot as you sit in the
saddle relieving strain on the ankles and
knees. The block for the top of the stirrup
has been kept wide and round so as not to
set the break in the stirrup leather where
it would go over the bar of the tree. One
advantage to the stretcher is it doesn't tie
up the draw down and its small enough to
hang on the wall out of the way. |

Ron's
Edge Rub:
Edge
rub is a compound that helps to speed up hand
rubbing edges, as a lot less rubbing is
required. The edge can be dyed and oiled without
losing it's hard finish. |
 |
Rand/Welt Knife: The
Rand/Welt knife is a cutting tool designed to level and
trim the surface of the heel rand after the sole
is glued on. The polished fence or guide prevents damage
to the heel cover against which the tool bears while
being run against the surface of the rand. |
